We are looking for: a Senior UX Designer! You will be at the forefront of protecting digital landscapes from evolving cyber threats and work with the top data scientists, security professionals, and networking experts in the cybersecurity industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading the design of intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and other designers to conceptualize and implement innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals. This designer will also play a key role in advancing the development of our design system.
What will you be doing as a Senior UX Designer at SimSpace?
- Partner with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define project goals and requirements.
- Lead the development and evolution of our design system, including defining design principles, components, patterns, and guidelines.
- Design elegant and intuitive experiences by understanding the intersection of customer needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
- Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups and other design artifacts.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve design solutions.
- Independently deliver UX solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Work through ambiguity and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Lead the UX design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
- Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Collaborate with other members of the UX team by providing, receiving and incorporating design feedback.
- Stay up to date with the latest UX design tools and methodologies, and advocate for their adoption within the team.
- Stay organized, manage time effectively, and prioritize work between multiple projects and deadlines.
What are the qualifications to apply? To be successful as a Senior UX Designer, you need:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on an enterprise product, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma, Balsamiq, Miro.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing, with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions on time and within budget.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently, demonstrating bias for action in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred but not required:
- Advanced degree in a design or human behavior-related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience).
- Experience building and maintaining a design system that evolves with the needs of the platform.
- Familiarity with the cybersecurity domain.
