The Role

Your Mission:
As a UX/UI Designer focusing on Shopify Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), your core mission is to support the Co-Founder of FORMULA by designing intuitive and high-converting user experiences for our Shopify clients. You will leverage your expertise in Figma to create compelling designs that enhance user engagement and drive conversions. Your attention to detail and passion for AI-driven solutions will be pivotal in translating audit findings into actionable design improvements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

UX/UI Design for Shopify CRO:

  • Design and optimize Shopify storefronts and landing pages with a focus on user experience and conversion rate optimization.
  • Utilize Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with client goals and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses.

Collaboration and Implementation:

  • Work closely with CRO specialists, developers, and marketers to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions.
  • Translate audit findings and data insights into actionable design improvements, prioritizing tasks based on potential impact.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance design processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality outputs.

Front-End Development Knowledge (Big Plus):

  • Possess a solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively communicate with developers and ensure design feasibility.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest UX/UI design trends, Shopify updates, and AI advancements to keep our solutions at the forefront of the industry.
  • Proactively seek feedback and iterate on designs to achieve the best possible user experience and conversion outcomes.

KPI’s You Will Achieve:

  • Deliver 95%+ of design projects on time, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Achieve a significant increase in conversion rates on redesigned Shopify pages.
  • Maintain a high standard of design quality, with less than 5% rework required post-implementation.

Deal Makers:

  • You have a strong portfolio showcasing high-converting Shopify designs and a keen eye for detail.
  • You are proficient in Figma and have experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • You are passionate about AI and actively explore ways to integrate it into your design workflow.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • You are adept at translating data and audit findings into actionable design solutions.

Technical Competencies:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on eCommerce and Shopify platforms.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of CRO principles and experience designing for conversion optimization.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a significant plus.
  • Experience with AI tools and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance design processes.

Deal Breakers:

  • Lack of experience in Shopify UX/UI design or CRO-focused projects.
  • Inability to meet deadlines or manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Poor communication skills or difficulty collaborating in a team environment.
  • Resistance to feedback and unwillingness to iterate on designs.
