Are you looking for a new role to work as a Reliability Engineering? In this role, you will provide technical leadership, direction and coordination services within the Maintenance and Reliability group to ensure safe, reliable and cost effective operation of equipment which conforms to all applicable codes, standards and Suncor processes.
You will collaborate with Operations to provide technical support for equipment and identify reliability improvement opportunities to increase availability and utilization of assets at the St. Clair Ethanol plant (Sarnia area). This will include asset performance troubleshooting, analysis of reliability performance indicators, investigation of threats to availability and equipment failures, completion of corrective actions, supporting and implementing integrity management programs. The role also supports the long-range capital planning process, major event calendar and maintenance work process through work scope development and decision support packages. The Reliability Engineer will be required to support the St. Clair Ethanol Plant and is a core member of the Production Unit Team (PUT). This position requires leadership by example in all aspects of Suncor’s OEMS model.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with minimum 3-5 years' work experience.
- Professional Engineer status from a provincial association (e.g., PEO, APEGA, etc.)
- Manages own time and can address numerous issues simultaneously
- Developed interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with broad stakeholders
- Good knowledge of applicable Codes, Standards and Regulatory requirements
Responsibilities:
- Member of the Core PUT(s) and attends weekly PUT meetings and M&R meetings where the Reliability Engineer is required.
- Accountable for troubleshooting and technical scope development for all equipment on-site (static, rotating, electrical, instrumentation, structural, etc.) with support from others within the team.
- Lead investigations for long-term threats and Level 2 investigations to understand the root cause and determine next steps.
- Attends risk review meetings, PHA’s, CHA’s and any other requirements by the PUT reliability engineer.
- Accountable for the proactive management of Enablon actions assigned to the Reliability team.
- Leverages the results of PM’s to drive equipment improvements and provides input for continuous improvement of PM’s.
- Participates in and leads development of project initiation checkpoints that are reliability-driven
- May give technical guidance to one or two junior engineers, or technicians, supporting work at site
Location and other key details:
- You will work out of our Ethanol facility in Ontario, located at 535 Rokeby Line, Mooretown, ON
- This in an office based role, Monday - Friday, 40 hrs per week
