RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop precision maintenance standards for pumps, fans and other rotating equipment and work with planner to integrate these into the work plans as well as preventative maintenance plans.

  • Execute and share A3's (smaller scale RCA's) and One-Point Lessons to communicate learnings from these to the maintenance team as well as the production team in order to share these learnings.

  • Originate and develop analysis methods to determine the reliability of components, equipment, & processes.

  • Acquire and analyze data. Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Conducts an analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for the particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and availability of materials/equipment.

  • Recommends and executes Capital Engineering projects as needed based upon analysis of reliability issues.

  • Determine cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.

  • Works with maintenance team and storeroom to develop and maintain equipment bill of materials and stock levels


REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree in engineering or 10+ years of relevant mechanical experience with demonstrated technical achievements and increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial experience required.

  • Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD LT or equivalent) for creation and updates of engineering drawings preferred.

  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Excellent people collaboration skills and approachability.

  • This individual must have the ability to convey communications clearly and concisely.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and teambuilding capability.

  • Experience with six sigma and total productivity management are benefits for this position.

  • Proficiency in computer use and business software applications (e.g. SAP, Powerpoint, Excel, Word) required.
