Release Manager

Job Summary

Release Management are responsible for scheduling, planning, and controlling the software's development and delivery process. and ensuring the quality and deployment plan. for handling the DevOps Team and Project team to make them deliver the services on time. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure project delivery, commitments and goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Create plans and communicate the release of project deliverables and release life cycle such as plans, timelines, requirements. plans for the implementation and deployment as per the release schedule and give weekly updates on the release activities
• Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
• Track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release. Make sure that the release is planned, according to the requirements and quality of the release is not affected.
• Schedule the CAB meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks, if any.
• Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies. And make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.

Background/ Experiences

• Bachelor, Master  degree  in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Master’s is preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in project management, IT delivery, or IT consulting

Knowledge & Skills                                                                                                                                                   

• Project management experience                                                                                                                                         
• Experienced with system or software development Lifecycle.
• Good in teamwork and collaboration and positive attitude. Ability to work effectively under pressure, self-motivated and goal oriented.
• Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall , Agile
• Understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
• Team and time management skills
• Problem-solving and analytics skills
