About the Role
Zact provides SaaS for commercial card programs and payments. We're hiring a Release Manager to own how changes reach production across our global regions. You'll be the single point of ownership for release coordination, change management, and the evidence trail behind it.
****This is a hands-on role: you'll build and mature the process as well as run it.
Location
- Zact is a global company with multiple locations across US, Europe and India.

What you'll do
- Coordinate releases from multiple project streams into production across global regions, owning the master release calendar and go/no-go reviews
- Establish and run the Change Advisory Board (CAB), ensuring every production change has an approved ticket, test evidence, and proper sign-off
- Manage the release path through pre-prod and UAT, resolving environment conflicts and monitoring drift from production
- Own the change management control and its audit evidence for internal audit, external auditors, and bank client reviews
- Lead post-release verification, publish release notes, and report on deployment frequency, change failure rate, and rollback rate
- Work with engineering and DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
What you'll bring
• 5 to 7 years in release management, change management, DevOps, or a related role, including 3+ years in an engineering-adjacent function
• Experience establishing or maturing a release and CAB process, not only following one
• Working knowledge of Jira and GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tooling
• Experience in a regulated or audited environment (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or similar)
• Strong communicator who can hold the line on process while staying a pragmatic partner to engineering
• Availability during US hours, with occasional deployments in India hours

- Multi-region or global deployment experience
- Fintech, payments, or banking technology background
- ITIL or equivalent framework familiarity
Working Hours
- Standard shift, US business hours (Eastern or Central preferred for bank client coverage)
- ~2-hour overlap with India team at start of US Day
Skills Required
- 5 to 7 years of experience in release management, change management, DevOps, or a related role
- 3+ years in an engineering-adjacent function
- Experience establishing or maturing a release and Change Advisory Board process
- Working knowledge of Jira and GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tooling
- Experience in a regulated or audited environment such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS
- Strong communication skills and ability to enforce processes while partnering pragmatically with engineering
- Availability during US business hours, with occasional deployments during India hours
- Multi-region or global deployment experience
