About this role
The Release Manager is responsible for overseeing the release management lifecycle and general changes coordination. Release management includes scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across our private market’s product portfolio. Coordinating changes includes the support for application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, projects, and programs. The Release Manager will work closely with product management, development and QA engineering, Ops, and other relevant teams to ensure the successful deployment of software releases.
About the role:

Release Planning and Coordination, develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate release activities and manage dependencies.

Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related communications, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and any issues.

Release Documentation and Standardization, maintain accurate and comprehensive release documentation, including release processes and guides, and deployment notes.

Ensure that release planning, documentation, and execution are aligned with BlackRock standards.

Risk Management and Continuous Improvement, identify and mitigate risks associated with releases, ensuring minimal impact on production environments.

Continuously evaluate and improve release processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Communication, work closely with Product Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Operations, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.

Prepare and lead release management meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
About you:

Bachelor's degree
-
2+ years of experience in release or project management.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Good understanding of software development lifecycle and project management principles.

Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Would be phenomenal to have:

Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Agile (Scrum Master).
