SUMMARY: The Relationship Manager is responsible for being the liaison between customers and the sales team to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products and services. A Relationship Manager will manage and develop customer accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationships with our customers. This role will require daily travel within a designated territory. The territory for this role will cover the areas of Lorain, Elyria, Huron and Sandusky. The position provides a base salary plus monthly bonus potential along with a company vehicle, gas card and company credit card.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be an ambassador for Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers
  • Assist customers through multiple avenues of communication (email, phones, meetings, etc.)
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and customer stakeholder
  • Ability to plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with our company
  • Develop rapport with new clients, set targets for sales, and provide support that will continually improve the relationship
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Responsible for working with Sales team to onboard and integrate new customers
  • The position will require you to work with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff
  • Ability to handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive solution
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and our company's leaders
  • Attendance to industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and ability to provide feedback and information on market and trends
  • Ability to present and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of experience in a territory or field sales/account manager role
  • 1+ years of sales and/or marketing experience
  • Proficient networker and public speaker
  • Experience will Sales Planning
  • Experience with driving sales process from planning to close
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others
  • Excellent oral and written communication

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
