We're seeking an experienced banking professional to join our Specialised Commercial & Corporate Banking team, managing a well-established portfolio of School/Education clients across Sydney.
This is a replacement opportunity within a highly successful and established portfolio, created following an internal movement. The focus is on maintaining momentum, continuing to deepen existing relationships and identifying growth opportunities within a sector where CBA has built a market-leading position over several years.
You will provide meaningful banking solutions to a portfolio of sophisticated School/Education clients, primarily Independent Private Schools. Drawing on your relationship management, credit and commercial banking expertise, you will help clients achieve their strategic objectives while delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

You will join a team of Relationship Executives, Account Managers and Analysts based in Sydney CBD who are passionate about helping clients succeed and supporting one another to achieve great outcomes.
Our School/Education portfolio focuses primarily on Independent Private Schools across Sydney, with clients typically generating annual turnover between $30 million and $150 million and commercial lending requirements of up to $50 million.
More Specifically, You Will
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Education sector clients and private schools
- Develop and execute strategic client plans to deepen relationships and grow share of wallet
- Identify and pursue new-to-bank opportunities through referral partners, industry networks and business development activity
- Structure and negotiate complex lending and banking solutions
- Lead deal execution from origination through to settlement
- Partner closely with Analysts, Account Managers, Product Specialists and Risk teams to deliver customer outcomes
- Maintain strong risk discipline and portfolio management practices
- Build a strong market profile through industry engagement, networking and community involvement
- Deliver exceptional service by anticipating customer needs and providing proactive solutions

- Have experience managing commercial, corporate or business banking relationships
- Have experience with lending exposures of $30 million+
- Demonstrate strong origination, structuring and negotiation capability across complex banking solutions

- Have strong financial analysis and credit assessment capability, including understanding key cash flow, industry and risk drivers
