As a Relationship Executive in Emerging Middle Market Banking, you will serve as the primary relationship manager for both new and existing clients. You will be responsible for acquiring, deepening, and retaining profitable client relationships by delivering the full breadth of the firm’s capabilities.  Emerging Middle Market bankers generally focus on companies with annual revenues ranging from $20 million to $100 million.

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Building relationships with key members of the local business community, including business owners, C-suite executives, internal partners, and centers of influence

  • Manage and deepen existing client relationships while actively developing new business with prospective clients 

  • Develop and execute a disciplined sales plan focused on revenue-generating opportunities, referral source development, and broadening relationships across the firm 

  • Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and client needs to identify opportunities for strategic advice, innovative solutions, and long-term partnership

  • Champion a strong sales culture grounded in a client-first mindset, accountability, and collaboration 

  • Partner across the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions that help clients achieve their business goals and objectives

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills 

  • Seven or more years of lending, credit, relationship management, or related commercial banking experience - with a focus on middle market business clients

  • Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products, services, and credit fundamentals 

  • Proven ability to develop and execute a methodical market coverage strategy, build trusted client relationships, and engage effectively with C-suite executives and business owners 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal partners, product specialists, and credit teams to deliver client solutions

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals as a successful individual contributor   

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build strong partnerships with senior business and control partners 

  • Deep local market knowledge, established community presence, and strong business development network

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred 

  • Demonstrated sales management and business development skills, with proficiency in building and maintaining strong client relationships 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, creative solutioning capabilities, and flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities
