Seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to join our interdisciplinary clinical team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our 23rd Ave Health Center.
Location: 23rd Ave and Dunlap
Full-Time Employed: 40 hours/week M-F 8:30AM - 5:30PM - No weekends
Offering an additional $1.50/hr SMI Shift Differential
Additional Language Differential Pay Available
Duties include:
- Assists clients with identifying treatment and recovery goals, and provides supportive services to help clients reach their goals
- Implements services identified in the Individual Service Plans, and coordinates and monitors rehabilitation-related services for clients served on the clinical team
- Communicates and documents client progress toward their recovery
- Embraces the recovery philosophy and promotes a safe recovery environment for clients.
- Uses brief clinical interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive listening skills to engage and support clients receiving services
- Engages and provides direct supports to clients’ natural support systems
- Works in partnership with co-located Employment Specialists and RSA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, community program providers, and other parties involved to assist clients increase or maintain employment, education, and other meaningful daily activities

- Applicants must have the minimum combination of education and/or experience:
- An associate’s degree in behavioral health, or high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health experience or,
- A bachelor’s degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or
- A bachelor’s degree in the field of behavioral health and any behavioral health experience, or
- A master’s degree or higher in the field of behavioral health
- 1 year of supervised experience as a Rehabilitation or Employment Specialist, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor preferred
- Valid AZ Driver License, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy
- Must have a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to apply for one within 7 working days of starting employment
- Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members
- Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions
- Basic understanding of the DSM-V preferred
- Must pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screening
- Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.

Skills Required
- Associate degree in behavioral health, or high school diploma/GED plus at least 3 years of behavioral health experience
- Bachelor's degree outside behavioral health plus 1 year of behavioral health experience
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health plus behavioral health experience
- Master's degree or higher in behavioral health
- One year of supervised experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist, Employment Specialist, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
- Valid Arizona driver's license; at least 21 years old with a minimum of 4 years of driving experience; compliance with the employer's driving policy
- Valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to apply within 7 working days of starting employment
- Professional interpersonal skills with coworkers, members, families, and community members
- Strong communication skills, effective listening, and a nonjudgmental approach
- Basic understanding of DSM-5
- Successful completion of background check, TB test, and other pre-employment screening
- Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute
