ROLE PROFILE:


LSEG’s Regulatory Reporting Solutions (RRS) is a software and data solutions business, offering global sell-side and buy-side clients a wide variety of products to assist with their obligations to report their transactions on a timely and accurate basis. We also provide several ancillary services to ensure the accuracy and completeness of their reporting (e.g. reconciliations, data solutions).

The Senior Operations Associate role sits within the RRS Operations team and plays a critical role in ensuring the robustness, scalability and continuous improvement of our operational processes. In addition to supporting day‑to‑day service delivery, you will take on increased ownership of processes, controls and stakeholder relationships.

You will work closely with colleagues across Client Services, Professional Services, Client Implementations, Customer Success, Technology, Sales and Product to support the day‑to‑day delivery of our services. This role is essential to ensuring all operational activities follow established processes, controls and regulatory expectations, with a strong focus on operational risk management.


ROLE SUMMARY:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Operations Associate to join our Regulatory Reporting Solutions Operations team. In this role you will act as a key contact for operational matters, ensuring high-quality service delivery and strict adherence to processes and controls.

Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management, a proactive and risk aware mindset, the ability to navigate complexity and a drive to enhance operational processes and frameworks.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:


• Overseeing and contributing to day-to-day operational processes across multiple regulatory reporting services, ensuring consistent delivery and service quality.

• Driving operational excellence, by actively monitoring controls, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

• Building strong relationships with our Client Services, Professional Services and Client Implementations teams.

• Working with technology support functions and various business units – Sales, Product, PMO and COO teams.

• Acting as the senior point of contact for operational requests and client-related operational queries.

• Ensuring customers receive a positive, high-quality service experience.

• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.


Additional Responsibilities:


• Support the build‑out of offshore capability by embedding new processes, adopting standardised workflows and providing ongoing oversight.

• Partnering with Operations Managers to ensure smooth handovers, consistent service levels, performance tracking and delivery against KPIs.

• Leading or contributing to process improvement initiatives, including automation and scalability efforts.

• Maintain strong control discipline by adhering to internal policies, proactively enhancing control frameworks in line with audit and risk requirements.

• Apply financial market knowledge, including understanding of core financial instruments (derivatives, cash equities, fixed income) and how they flow through post‑trade processes.

• Maintain awareness of key regulatory obligations (e.g., EMIR, MiFIR), including how products map to reporting logic, lifecycle events and reconciliation requirements.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:


You will enjoy problem solving, working collaboratively and helping maintain a strong customer experience. Your role will provide a key contribution in supporting the growth of the Regulatory Reporting Solutions business.

• Demonstrable experience within the operations function of a financial institution, with exposure to complex processes and/ or multiple projects.

• Familiarity with regulatory reporting operational workflows across different jurisdictions.

• Proven ability to take ownership of processes and drive improvements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders.

• Ability to understand technical complexity of the full end-to-end trade process from execution to confirmation to clearing.

• Advanced analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong computational skills using applications such as MS Excel. Experience with AI/ Automation tools a plus.

• Good interpersonal and influencing skills.

• Proactive, self-driven and comfortable operating with a higher degree of autonomy.

• Able to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.

• Motivated, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.

• Understanding of operational risk, control frameworks and governance processes.

• Awareness of financial market structure (venues, CCPs, brokers, identifiers such as LEIs/UTIs) and the regulatory reporting ecosystem.

• Prior experience supporting/ mentoring junior team members or contributing to team leadership activities.
