LifeSpice Ingredients, a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, international food company has an opening for a Regulatory & Quality Manager in our River North location. Steps away from the Brown line, and easily accessible from public transportation takes the stress out of your morning commute. This is an onsite position; there is no hybrid or remote working schedule available.
We are seeking a Regulatory & Quality Manager with a strong Regulatory background. Experience with Quality would be a plus. The Regulatory & Quality team spends the majority of their time providing customer documentation support, regulatory guidance, and compliance reviews specific to new and reformulated LifeSpice products.
As a Regulatory & Quality Manager at LifeSpice, you will:
- Works closely with R&D Product Development, Regulatory, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure raw material and finished product specifications are accurate, compliant with regulations, and clearly captured in recipe management systems
- Take lead in providing regulatory information and guidance to internal and external customers
- Reviews and approves of all new labels and label changes
- Responsible for obtaining all necessary documentation on raw materials and loading into formula management system
- Responsible for managing and maintaining raw material status
- Manage company regulatory/quality programs related to Kosher, Organic, Halal, FDA, CFIA, etc. to ensure requirements are met
- Serve as an advisor to R&D on regulatory and nutrition requirements for labeling and claims
- Organize, update, and maintain regulatory documentation in accordance with department procedures
- Participates on project teams, anticipates regulatory issues, and works with key stakeholders to clarify and resolve regulatory concerns
Position Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Regulatory or Food Industry
- Experience in document management system
- Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations
- BS in Food Science, nutrition, or similar field
- Occasional trips to blending partner. Quarterly onsite internal audits of Distribution Center in Lowell, IN
Skills Required
- 4+ years of experience in Regulatory or the food industry

- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a similar field
