We are looking for a Legal Regulatory Counsel to join our legal team and support the company’s rapidly growing global business (ex-China). You will collaborate closely with different business groups to evaluate new initiatives, navigate regulatory risks, and help shape how our products and services operate across markets worldwide. Responsibilities- Partner with various business groups to understand business operations and product mechanics, identify regulatory and compliance risks, and provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across key markets globally, and assess their impact on the company’s products and business operations.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, processes, and training programs tailored to different markets and product lines.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage regulatory inquiries, reviews, and investigations, and contribute a regulatory perspective to product launches and market expansion initiatives.
- 3–5 years PQE, qualified in Hong Kong, Singapore, or another comparable common law jurisdiction.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, whether gained in-house at a technology or internet company, at a law firm advising tech clients, or in a government regulatory body.
- Strong product sense and genuine curiosity about the internet and technology industry — able to quickly understand product mechanics and business models, and translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance.
- A proactive, self-driven working style with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory issues into clear, practical recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable collaborating across functions and regions.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- Experience working on compliance for internet products, experience handling regulatory investigations, engaging with regulatory authorities is a plus.
