The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Join as a Regulatory Engineer to turn complex rules into accurate, usable knowledge. This is a research and quality role that works closely with product and engineering; coding is not required.
What you'll do
- Review regulatory analyses, permitting matrices, and due-diligence deliverables.
- Research and structure local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Check AI-generated findings for errors, missing context, and citation quality.
- Write prompts and decision logic connecting geographic data with relevant rules.
- Translate research findings into improvements to the platform.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 2 to 5 years of research-intensive legal, policy, compliance, consulting, or regulatory analysis experience.
- Strong professional writing with an anonymized writing sample.
- Ability to sustain accuracy in high-volume, detailed work.
- Discerning use of AI tools for research and drafting.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment.
Bonus points
- A legal-adjacent background or rigorous graduate training.
- GIS, geospatial, structured-data, or QA experience.
- Willingness to attend the office five days per week during initial onboarding.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 120,000 to 200,000 per year.

- Jackson Square, San Francisco, California, United States.
- Hybrid, with office attendance Tuesday through Thursday.
- Fully remote arrangements may be considered only for exceptional candidates.
