Responsibilities / Tasks

We are seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to manage and grow our client base in the Southeast of the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of packaging solutions, preferably within food processing sectors such as poultry, meat, fish, and vegetable produce. This role involves both maintaining existing client relationships (70%) and developing new business (30%).

  • Manage and grow existing accounts within the food processing and manufacturing sectors.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the region.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities.

  • Develop and align strategic business plans and sales targets to support long-term growth.

  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote our product portfolio.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.

  • Engage in regular networking and relationship-building within the industry.

  • Review RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and clarify customer specifications and requirements.

  • Based on RFQs and PSM support, deliver tailored technical and commercial proposals.

  • Provide technical and sales presentations to customers and stakeholders.

  • Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system and manage accurate sales forecasts.

  • Support contract negotiations in collaboration with the Business Unit, including terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.

  • Ensure clear communication through order confirmations and participation in turnover/handover meetings.

  • Consistently manage customer expectations through regular follow-ups and service support.

  • Travel across the Southeast UK (approximately 60-80%) to meet with current and potential clients, attend trade shows, and industry events.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical), Food Science, Business Studies/Economics or a related field.

  • Background in frontline sales, account management, or business development within the food packaging or food processing industry.

  • Knowledge of the food processing industry sectors (poultry, meat, fish, vegetables, etc.).

  • Proven track record of managing and growing B2B customer relationships

  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.

  • Proficiency in MS Office products and SAP C4C.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
