Vega is one of the fastest-growing startups in cybersecurity, redefining security analytics and operations with an AI-native platform for the SOC!
We are building the next-generation operating system for security teams. Vega is already delivering real impact at some of the world’s largest organizations - improving detection, unlocking the value of their security data, and reducing cost and complexity. With HQs in New York and TLV, we're looking for people who want to be a part of the next rocket-ship in cyber.
The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to partner with our enterprise sales team and support revenue growth across a defined set of Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 accounts in the Mid Atlantic.
This role sits at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic customer engagement. You will be the trusted technical advisor to CISOs, security operations leaders, and platform teams - guiding customers through architecture design, evaluations, proof-of-value engagements, and executive-level technical discussions.
You will play a critical role in positioning Vega as a foundational security analytics platform, capable of replacing or augmenting legacy SIEM and security data architectures at enterprise scale.
What You’ll Do
- Partner closely with Regional Sales Managers to support a defined set of strategic enterprise accounts.
- Act as the technical lead throughout complex enterprise sales cycles, from discovery through close.
- Conduct deep technical discovery to understand customer security operations, data pipelines, detection strategies, and scalability requirements.
- Design and present enterprise-grade architectures that demonstrate how Vega fits into and modernizes the SOC.
- Lead technical evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-value (PoV) engagements that clearly articulate ROI, performance, and operational impact.
- Deliver compelling technical demos tailored to executive, practitioner, and platform audiences.
- Position Vega as a strategic alternative to legacy SIEM, security analytics, and data platforms, addressing scale, cost, and operational complexity.
- Support executive briefings, customer QBRs, and architecture reviews with senior security and IT leadership.
- Provide product feedback based on real-world customer use cases to influence roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
- Maintain accurate technical opportunity notes, evaluation plans, and PoV outcomes in Salesforce and internal systems.
- Stay current on evolving security analytics trends, cloud architectures, and AI-driven SOC workflows.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-Sales role within cybersecurity or enterprise software.
- Strong technical background in modern security architectures, including SIEM, XDR, security data lakes, log management, and cloud-scale analytics.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and long evaluation periods.
- Experience in high growth, fast paced environments
- Ability to engage credibly with CISOs, VP-level security leaders, architects, and hands-on practitioners.
- Proven ability to design and explain scalable architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
- Comfort leading technical evaluations, PoVs, and hands-on workshops in enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate deep technical concepts into business value.
- Strong collaboration skills and a team-first mindset when working with Sales and Product.
- Willingness to travel regionally for customer meetings and strategic account engagement.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience deploying, operating, or migrating SIEM platforms at scale.
