Role Overview: As a Regional Operational Technology Consultant, you will work closely with the pladis supply chain teams, including site engineering, projects, and manufacturing teams, to proactively manage the OT environment. Your focus will be on obsolescence, security, new installations, hardware and software standards, and driving new OT technology solutions to deliver supply chain improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the control and automation systems infrastructure at primary support sites.
- Provide central support and project development resources for factory automation systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and project teams to support factory automation infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with and feed into setting general pladis IT standards and strategies.
- Document systems at respective factories and share knowledge with the wider team.
- Manage installations to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and group standards.
- Create and maintain a roadmap for systems development and technology obsolescence.
- Manage 3rd party contractors for project implementation and support purposes.
Essential Criteria:
- 5+yrs in a complex control systems environment, with strong technical knowledge of at least one of - Siemens PLCs, WinCC SCADA, Iconics Genesis SCADA, Rockwell Logix platform.
- 3+yrs of IT knowledge and experiences, with good level of technical knowledge of at least 2 of - IP networking, Windows OS configuration, SQL Server management, OPC configuration, Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, Defender.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience.
- High personal drive and time management, prioritization skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with Siemens PCS7 systems, Automated Warehouse Systems, IoT, and OT security.
- Systems development and requirement analysis.
- Excellent team leadership skills.
- Project management and negotiation skills.
- Training and coaching skills.
Qualifications:
- Engineering qualification – degree, HNC, HND in relevant discipline (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control & Automation, Computer Studies, Business Information Systems, or similar associated Electrical Engineering Qualification).
- 18th Edition, PRINCE2, ITIL, or other relevant IT/OT certifications.
