Hexcel is currently seeking a Regional EHS Manager. Preferred locations include Salt Lake City, UT, Casa Grande, AZ, Kent, WA or Stamford, CT.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Serve as the regional subject matter expert for Occupational Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM), providing strategic guidance to plant and regional leadership to ensure compliance with corporate standards and applicable regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, standards, procedures, goals, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement through Hexcel’s EHS Management System.
- Lead occupational and process safety risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts across regional facilities, promoting consistent systems, practices, and incident reduction strategies.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and manufacturing teams to integrate EHS considerations into new processes, equipment, and capital projects, including HAZOPs, ORIs, and Process Risk Assessments.
- Direct regional and global EHS auditing, compliance, and management system activities to ensure regulatory adherence and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with regional operations and EHS leadership to implement risk reduction initiatives, including FM Global recommendations and engineered process safety solutions.
- Develop and deliver Process Safety Management training and education programs while supporting EHS reporting systems and performance indicators that drive measurable business improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, industrial, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field, with 10+ years of relevant EHS, process safety, or manufacturing experience.
- Professional certification or designation preferred (e.g., P.E., P. Eng., CSP, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, occupational safety, process safety principles, risk mitigation, and engineering controls.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives while effectively supporting operational objectives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), root cause investigations, and multiple complex projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with global EHS regulations and standards (including COMAH and SEVESO) and willingness to travel 40–60% as required.
Summary pay range for Washington state: $118317 - $202830
