The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the operational performance of multiple urgent care clinics while supporting high-quality patient care and ensuring consistency across the region. This role provides operational leadership, drives clinic performance, develops leaders, and partners with clinical and executive leadership to achieve organizational goals. The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, exceptional patient experiences, and strong financial performance across all assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational leadership and oversight for multiple urgent care clinic locations.
  • Partner with Regional Vice Presidents, Medical Directors, and clinic leadership to achieve operational, financial, and quality goals.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop clinic managers and operational leaders.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to improve operational performance, patient satisfaction, and financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to maintain high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of clinic leadership and staff.
  • Assist with leadership development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiencies across the region.
  • Conduct regular clinic visits, audits, and performance reviews.
  • Support new clinic openings, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in operational planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-site healthcare operations leadership experience.
  • Urgent care experience is required.
  • Experience supervising multiple clinics is required.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, quality improvement, and financial management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and implement performance improvement strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned clinic locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NP or PA clinical background.
  • Previous experience leading regional or multi-site urgent care operations.
  • Experience supporting clinic growth, acquisitions, and new market expansion.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational improvement certifications are a plus.

Skills Required
