Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Build stronger relationships with current BPs through communication efforts, visits, enrollments financial education workshops, etc.
  • Identify growth potential within existing and new BPs by evaluating membership penetration, developing a relationship with the main point of contact while identifying and evaluating additional needs.
  • Attend chamber events, community, and trade show events to continue to initiate new BP relationships.
  • Promote all products and services with cross-selling to meeting members' and BP's needs.
  • Responsible for securing and safeguarding all membership information collected at BP enrollments.
  • Report information to Membership Development Manager following BP visits and enrollments: results, feedback and needs.
  • Keep accurate records of Benefit Partner information.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  1. Increase BP and new member growth per year.
  2. Work effectively with BP personnel and the Credit Union staff to build and maintain strong relationships.
  3. Perform enrollments to increase product participation and reach corporate goals.
  4. Attend community, chamber, and other networking events to increase awareness.
  5. Conduct financial education workshops.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Experience with business accounts preferred. Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)

Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Valid driver's license with ability to be insured by our insurance provider is required.

Strong communication skills including the ability to speak and present in front of diverse and large audiences. Relates well to others regardless of their background or personality. Portrays an image of confidence and professionalism through mannerisms, speech, attitude, and appearance. Excellent telephone skills and comfortable in making warm and cold calls and visits. Proper use of grammatical and written skills as well as technology.

Ability to assess the market, trends and member needs. Able to respond to unexpected questions or challenges while presenting. Must be service oriented. Makes realistic commitments and ensures they are met in a timely manner. Punctual in returning calls and responding to requests. Prepares specific plans, work activities, and accountabilities needed to achieve objectives and goals. Ability to make timely prudent decisions that are well researched.

Must be a self-starter with little need for supervision or outside motivation. Demonstrates enthusiasm, drive and ambition. Thinks and acts with minimum instruction or direction.

Physical Requirements: Moderate lifting required.

Work Environment: Must be able to travel and work non-regular hours (evenings and weekends).
