- Plan media activities based on our corporate narrative and company goals and alignment with regional themes and objectives.
- Handle incoming media inquiries, fostering strong relationships with local journalists and media outlets, ensuring accurate and positive coverage.
- Develop and execute proactive media campaigns to strengthen Nokia‘s corporate reputation as well as reputation for regional thought leadership.
- Draft, edit, and refine a wide range of written communications, including press releases, media statements, talking points, Q&A documents, executive briefings, and reactive responses.
- Translate complex technical, business, and strategic topics into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate written narratives for local media.
- Proactively protect the company's reputation by strategically engaging media, foreseeing challenges, and resolving communication issues, misunderstandings, and unclear messaging.
- Work with local spokespeople and develop briefing documents to enable impactful local media engagement, including building the thought leadership profile of the market leader.
- Support and coordinate both Nokia events and external public events for media relations and communication campaigns.
- Monitor media coverage, evaluate campaign success, and prepare internal reports for the global marketing and communications team
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Extensive and proven experience in public relations or professional communications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively within diverse international and cross-cultural teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal English and Arabic communication, writing and editing skills, with demonstrated experience producing high-quality media and executive communications under tight deadlines.
- A highly effective problem-solver, demonstrating a strong customer focus, forward-thinking innovation, and a proactive, hands-on attitude.
- Proven relationships with relevant local media stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
· Working knowledge of French and additional languages beneficial
