The Communications team tells the Grab story around the world. It will drive Grab's growth by promoting and protecting its brand and reputation, ensuring its position as the leading online-to-offline mobile platform in Southeast Asia.

Whether it's speaking to media and online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Corporate Communications Lead, and work with teams in multiple Southeast Asian countries. You are passionate about Grab's mission, and have a proven track record of executing high-profile, creative campaigns and handling corporate issues and public affairs matters.

You can distill key business objectives into a communications strategy, is great at managing senior stakeholders and collaborating with Marketing and Public Affairs teams, and willing to deepdive into local issues and regulations.

You will be based onsite at Grab Petaling Jaya office, Malaysia.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Provide direction and execution support for country PR teams, particularly for policy comms and crisis & issues
• Develop positioning and multi-format toolkits on Grab's strategic themes for country use
• Lead comms strategy for change management projects in collaboration with cross-functional regional teams, such as marketplace, tech, regional ops, etc
• Play the role of regional enabler for country PR teams - set and track OKRs, pilot new PR initiatives, share best practices, and drive process improvements to improve the quality of work and operational efficiency of country teams

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 12 or more years of experience: Corporate reputation management, policy communications, crisis management, media relations, integrated communications, data storytelling
• Experience managing teams and diverse cross-functional stakeholder relations in ambiguous environments
• Regional and/or in-market experience in key Southeast Asian countries and in a fast-paced company
• Self-starter who is motivated by hands-on, challenging work
• Excellent writing, strong project management, and process-oriented
