We’re looking for a driven Regional Account Manager (RAM) based in or near Houston, TX to lead sales growth across our Mid-Southern territory. This role requires regular travel throughout the region and close collaboration with customers, distributors, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do:
- Grow and retain existing business while developing new customer opportunities throughout the region.
- Build strong partnerships with distributors, end-users, and channel partners through consistent engagement and support.
- Manage and develop opportunities through the sales pipeline using HubSpot CRM.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and training to customers and distributors.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings across the territory.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Sales Leadership to support regional and national growth initiatives.

Regional Account Manager Job Description
Summary/Objective:
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned territory by retaining and expanding existing business, developing strong customer and distributor relationships, and executing sales growth strategies that support company objectives. This role manages opportunities through the sales pipeline using HubSpot CRM, delivers effective product presentations and training, and provides market insights that inform corporate strategy. The RAM collaborates closely with the North American Sales Manager and cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Kappler Technologies—to achieve regional and national sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth, Territory Management & Pipeline Development
- Execute revenue growth campaigns designed to retain and grow existing customers into loyal brand ambassadors.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals for the assigned region.
- Manage the full sales pipeline in HubSpot CRM, including lead qualification, sales activities, and customer insights.
- Lead new customer growth efforts, as assigned, to support Annual Operating Plan.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM data to support reporting, planning, and decision-making.
- Successfully train and manage independent rep groups (if applicable) to achieve territory revenue targets.
Customer & Distributor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, distributors, and channel partners through in-person visits, phone calls, email, video conferencing, and consistent CRM touchpoints.
- Use HubSpot CRM to track customer communication, identify engagement patterns, and plan outreach strategies.
- Deliver effective sales presentations—virtually or in-person—to committees, agencies, distributors, and end-users.
- Provide product training and technical demonstrations to distributors and end-users to support product specifications and increase share of wallet.
- Represent the company at trade shows, association events, and industry exhibitions.
Market Insights, Product Positioning & Competitive Intelligence
- Provide feedback to the North American Sales Manager and Marketing team regarding competitive activity, strengths, weaknesses, and emerging market trends.
- Use CRM insights and customer interaction data to identify behavioral trends and inform marketing strategies.
- Identify regional product needs, emerging requirements, and specification opportunities and share with Sales Leadership and Marketing.
- Monitor the performance and effectiveness of distributor networks in the region and make recommendations for improvements.
Sales Forecasting, Planning & Pricing Support
- Assist with developing sales forecasts and budgets for the region in alignment with corporate goals.
- Recommend price points, discount structures, and promotional strategies to maintain or grow business.
- Partner with Sales leadership, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment on inventory availability, customer timelines, and account-level strategy.
Other
- Continuously improve through coaching, feedback, and professional development.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience in business-to-business cold calling outbound sales and lead generation is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in account management is strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the products offered in the region as well as the geography of the specific region, or ability to learn with training.
- Valid driver’s license and conveniently located near an airport.
- Intermediate computer skills to include ERP software.
- Experience using CRM.
- Basic math skills including an advanced understanding of units of measure, fractions, and decimals.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including Microsoft Excel.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree and/or minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar or related field strongly preferred.
