As our Region Sales Representative, you'll be ideally based in Stavanger serving clients in the North Sea region. You will have full accountability for achieving the business development and account objectives. You will lead and coordinate the demand, generation and creation of a solid pipeline of opportunities and promote cooperation between all departments to deliver performance excellence within the organisation. You'll be customer facing and responsible for expanding existing, winning new business, contributing to sales planning and defining sales strategy for targeted clients.

As the Region Sales Representative you will also be responsible for:

  • Developing the sales and commercial strategy of the product line for the region
  • Executing strategies to drive growth targeting potential customers in the upstream sector
  • Identifying opportunities to penetrate the market where Baker Hughes currently has a limited share
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of our customers
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities for growth
  • Providing regular updates on account performance, market trends and growth opportunities to senior management
  • Studying market trends, understanding the environment, customer challenges and the competitive landscape
  • Establishing trusting relationships with customers and partners, developing customer intimacy and early engagement
  • Establishing our brand and technology, organising technology updates and participation at industry symposiums

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have considerable experience in a customer facing role in the oil and gas sector
  • Demonstrate technical competence or understanding in Artificial Lift and ESP systems or related experience in completion applications
  • Show a good track record in a sales, application engineering or service delivery/offshore roles where you can demonstrate customer interaction on a commercial level
  • Be able to consultant on a technical and commercial level to our customers and build successful and strategic relationships
  • Possess good market intelligence and commercial awareness
  • Have both the ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Influence others with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Be an effective problem solver with proven analytical and organisational ability
  • Be able to travel across the Northern Continental Shelf
  • Speak Norwegian
