As a Refinery Account Representative, you will provide a vital service by implementing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating chemical treatment programs. You will be a crucial team member supporting a large key customer account, responsible for ensuring they have the services and products required to operate safely and efficiently.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely managing day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers
- Developing trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
- Applying account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements, and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L
- Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers
- Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs
- Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
- Collecting and interpreting data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers
- Providing field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn-arounds, shut-downs, and daily operations
- Managing chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, will require:
- Have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or other related fields with minimum of 1-year related technical field experience (or High School Diploma/GED with minimum 3 years technical field experience)
- Have focused technical experience in refining, petrochemical, and/or industrial settings supporting chemical treatment programs
- Have a deep understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology
- Have a good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Have previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
- Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
- Residing within a commutable distance to Sunray, TX (1 hour or less)

- A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions
