Red Team Cyber Operator

Our client, Aperio Global, is seeking an experienced Red Team Cyber Operator for work at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Aperio Global is seeking a Red Cyber Operator to join our dynamic team in Ft. Belvoir, VA. As a Red Cyber Operator at Aperio Global, specializing in advanced assessments, you will emulate potential adversaries' cyber reconnaissance, exploitation techniques, and attack capabilities against targeted missions, systems, networks, components, or capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Execute computer network operations globally to strengthen information system security, identify intrusions and vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies for official U.S. government organizations.
• Utilize offensive computer network expertise to emulate potential adversaries' cyber techniques and attack capabilities on behalf of senior DoD stakeholders.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of offensive cyber concepts, including reconnaissance, infiltration, internal network pivoting, and data exfiltration during red cyber assessments.
• Maintain situational awareness during threat emulation-based exploitation and operations.
• Perform remote operations from DTRA HQ at Ft. Belvoir, VA, and/or travel to various CONUS/OCONUS sites for on-site operations.
• Produce formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives on adversarial behavior and attacks for high-level customers, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense and Combatant Commands.
• Write high-level technical reports, develop briefings, and document findings for senior DoD officials, enabling informed decision-making.
• Build and develop assessment-specific tools to emulate adversarial threats and attacks, demonstrating and exploiting vulnerabilities in sensitive mission-critical networks and systems.
• Analyze operational TTPs, create tools and scripts, and mentor Red Cyber Operators to automate and advance red cyber operational processes.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret /SCI clearance is required
• 5-8 years of experience with Red Cyber Operations
• Red Cyber Operators must meet both Apprentice Operator and Journeyman Operator requirements within the prescribed timelines. They should also be capable of performing the advanced red cyber assessment-specific role of Assessment Technical Lead.
• IAT Level III certification as defined in DoDD 8570.01, 8570.01-M, 8140.01-03, and as amended.
