Blue Iris Tech Consulting Inc. is a mission-driven technology firm supporting national security and defense operations. We are seeking a Red Cyber Operator to join our high-performing team. In this role, you'll be part of a cutting-edge cyber red team conducting offensive cyber operations and penetration testing for a federal defense client. Blue Iris Tech is an 8(a) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) that has supported a range of government agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Job Description

 

  • Conducting Cyber Red Team assessments and advanced offensive cyber operations
  • Executing penetration testing with a focus on real-world adversary emulation
  • Implementing techniques in antivirus/EDR evasion, offensive infrastructure, phishing, and social engineering
  • Supporting full-spectrum cyber operations in dynamic environments
  • Collaborating across teams to ensure mission success

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance - candidates without an active TS/SCI will not be considered.
  • Ability to meet apprentice operator requirements in the DCART Operator Training Program per DCART Handbook timelines
  • Experience in Red Team operations, offensive cyber engagements, or penetration testing
  • IAT Level III certification (DoDD 8570.01 / 8140.01-03)
  • Must pass the DCART operator aptitude test prior to onboarding
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, including OCONUS and CONUS locations

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of offensive cyber or Red Team experience (DoD or corporate)
  • Certifications such as:
    • Red Team Apprentice Course (RTAC) / Journeyman Course (RTJC)
    • Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO), OSCP, ROPS
    • GIAC: GPEN, GXPN, or GWAPT
  • Advanced expertise in:
    • Antivirus/EDR evasion, offensive infrastructure design
    • Phishing and social engineering campaigns
    • Pen testing of critical infrastructure, IoT, wireless, and networking environments
