JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role is part of CNA's national underwriting & risk control talent acquisition team for commercial and specialty lines. Individual contributor, demonstrating a high level of expertise in recruiting to the businesses they support. Acts as an internal consultant to HR and business partners throughout the recruiting lifecycle. Performs all recruitment activities involved in the development of recruiting strategy, candidate pool development, delivering diverse slates of talent, offer development and negotiations. Responsible for early careers, diversity programs, and professional level roles for a region and/or business unit(s) they support within the company. Recognized by the business as a talent and recruiting expert.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Creates and executes the recruiting strategy and recruiting operations for a business unit(s) and/ or region. Leads the recruiting team (hiring manager, interviewer, HR generalist and recruiting coordinator) during each search and ensures that everyone is performing their role and the team is meeting recruiting goals.
2. Develops sourcing strategies to support assigned business unit(s). Knows the best sourcing channels to reach different candidate segments.
3. Identifies and assesses candidates, conducts pre-screens, interviews and obtains feedback from management and candidates.
4. Assists in the training and development of Recruiting Consultant(s) and/or Recruiting Specialist(s) using expertise and best practice approaches.
5. Manages assigned recruiting projects including process changes.
6. Develops a database of high potential, passive candidates through pipelining efforts and relationship recruiting.
7. Advises hiring managers and generalist with offer recommendations. Extends and negotiates offers.
8. Participates in maintaining and monitoring vendor relationships and makes vendor recommendations to management as needed.
9. Prepares and submits staffing activity and analysis as well as other reports for management.
10. Stays current on hiring trends, competitor information and employment market conditions.

4. Solid knowledge of the business and operations for business unit(s) supported
5. Ability to understand the talent needs of hiring managers ? awareness of the organization's talent strategy.

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree, in a related discipline, or equivalent
2. Typically a minimum of seven years recruiting experience in either a corporate or agency setting
3. AIRS and diversity recruiting certification(s) preferred
4. Insurance experience recruiting for commercial underwriters preferred.
