THE ROLE  

PlayOn is looking to hire a Recruiter to help drive the growth of our organization by finding and evaluating top talent. This individual takes full ownership of meeting ambitious time-to-fill goals without compromising on talent quality or culture fit. They are confident enough to walk away from candidates who are not the right fit - both for their benefit and the organization’s sake.

Collaborating with Hiring Managers 

Our recruiter partners with hiring managers to truly understand the talent needs of each individual team as well as the organization as a whole. They serve as a subject matter expert on the current talent market and work closely with hiring managers throughout the interview process to build and refine searches and attract the right talent—collaborating on job descriptions, ideating on case studies, and syncing on candidate profiles. They excel at building and maintaining a high level of trust with leaders. 

 

Interviewing Candidates with Skill  

This individual assesses candidates with an unbiased, organization-first mentality. They understand that hiring the right individuals is one of the most important factors in an organization’s success and are skilled at assessing both a candidate’s technical capabilities as well as their underlying motivators and values. They believe that listening is more important than speaking and focus on asking the right questions over just checking boxes. They see interviews as eye-level conversations and treat candidates with objective fairness to determine if the match is a win-win for both parties.

 

Sourcing Top Talent  

Our recruiter is passionate about finding the best fit for every open role—especially when that means sourcing both active and passive talent. They love building Boolean searches, writing outreach messages, and managing applicant pipelines. They approach every role opening as an opportunity to proactively discover the best fit for the role.

 

Providing a Top Candidate Experience  

This individual understands that candidates invest time and energy into the interview process, so they keep candidates informed at every step in the journey. They provide as much prep material and context as appropriate and are fully informed about the business so they can paint a clear and transparent picture with candidates. 

THE TALENTS YOU BRING.

  • 3+ years’ experience of full life cycle technical recruiting, with a focus on non customer-facing and more technical roles. 
  • Required experience recruiting in multiple verticals (SAAS Software Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, and Customer Success).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive efficient decision-making and continuous improvement with stakeholders. 
  • Proven ability to bring top talent into the pipeline through skillful and proactive sourcing, with experience in employer branding, social media recruitment, and candidate engagement strategies. 
  • Independent worker, a self-starter, team player, detail-oriented, analytical and can handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating in or working with a company our size in the growth stage (revenue, employees).
