Lonza offers an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated professional to join as a Record to Report Supervisor in Costa Rica. This role ensures timely financial reporting, supports growth, and maintains high standards.
Key responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
Actively participate in and supervise the preparation and submission of “carve-out” audit documentation.
Contribute to the development of financial analyses to support the carve-out audit process.
Represent the accounting technical team in carve-out status meetings and ensure timely follow-ups.
Review and validate key deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness in the preparation of carve-out financial statements.
Prepare Balance Sheet review templates and support issue identification and resolution.
Collaborate with Site Finance and other collaborators to enhance, standardize, and formalize financial governance.
Prepare presentations and analytics around balance sheet quality at global and regional levels.
Drive collaborative resolution of identified quality issues.
Prepare month-end analytic reviews for 3-4 NAM entities.
Provide mentorship, mentor, and performance feedback to team members involved in carve-out and Record to Report activities.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements.
Key requirements:
Professional qualifications in Finance or Audit (CPA, CTA, CIA) or Process (Six Sigma).
Proficient experience in financial accounting or external audit within a multi-national environment
Experience in the manufacturing industry, ideally within a Shared Service environment
Proficiency in office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Working knowledge of SAP ECC; awareness of SAP GRC is beneficial
Ability to structure written reports with clear, understandable content
High level of operational awareness across finance transactional processes
