RTR Analyst

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

What you will do:

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, rebates, bank reconciliations and other general ledger accounting tasks.

• Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.

• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting in compliance with Lonza policies, US GAAP and IFRS requirements.

• Execute day-to-day RTR activities while identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency.

• Partner with Senior Analysts and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Assist with internal and external audit requirements by preparing supporting documentation and ensuring audit readiness.

• Provide cross-functional support to accounting operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities as required.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.

• Experience in a Record-to-Report (RTR), General Ledger or shared services accounting environment.

• Knowledge of month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting activities.

• Understanding of accounting principles, with exposure to US GAAP and/or IFRS considered an advantage.

• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Effective communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a global environment.
