As a Reconciliation Associate within Treasury Operations, you execute daily operational processes and settlements to ensure timely, accurate outcomes aligned to policy, controls, and audit expectations. You investigate reconciling items and transaction posting errors across books and records, coordinate resolution across stakeholders, and document outcomes with clear communication. You partner closely with Finance, Product, Operations, and Technology to sustain a robust control environment that supports Diversity, Inclusion & Opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute timely and accurate settlement of the firm’s settlement obligations.
- Conduct daily reconciliation reviews, analyze reconciling items, investigate books and records, and document and communicate outcomes.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve breaks and transaction posting errors promptly.
- Lead root-cause analyses and implement sustainable remediation plans.
- Maintain an operational risk and control framework aligned with audit expectations.
- Govern aging breaks, exceptions, and escalations to minimize impact.
- Partner with Financial Controllers, Product, Technology, and Operations teams to resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Identify automation opportunities and process optimizations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Produce periodic and ad hoc reporting to meet regulatory requirements and support senior management decision-making.
- Collaborate with Technology to enhance reconciliation platforms, improve data quality, and increase straight-through processing.
Respond to internal and external audit queries by providing audit trail and documentation, and help build new processes as new products are added.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- 6+ years of reconciliation experience within banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of banking platforms, reconciliation and substantiation tools, payments, and supporting systems.
- Experience in reconciliations, payments, and treasury operations with focus on operational processes, controls, and problem solving.
- Broad product knowledge with ability to quickly learn new products.
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong partnering and influencing skills across business lines and support functions.
