Receptionist
Position SummaryThe Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, visitors, faculty, staff, and community members. This position provides exceptional customer service, manages front desk operations, supports the Admissions team, and performs a variety of administrative duties to ensure the smooth daily operation of the college.
Essential Responsibilities- Greet and assist visitors, students, faculty, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls and voicemail messages.
- Provide information regarding the college, including directions and general inquiries.
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures and monitor facility access.
- Track and route Admissions inquiries and phone leads.
- Open the facility and maintain a welcoming reception area.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
- Assist with ordering office supplies and coordinating meals for campus events.
- Create student, faculty, and staff identification badges.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to campus departments.
- Assist with student needs and day-to-day inquiries.
- Process vending machine refunds as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of student, employee, and business information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or office administration experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Professional, dependable, and customer-focused demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and printers.
- Ability to move throughout the campus as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work schedules may include occasional evening or weekend hours based on business needs.
