The Receptionist will play an important role in representing Northland Power. Working at our Toronto mid-town office, you will be a go-to person for staff and visitors at the reception. Reporting to the Global Corporate Services Manager, your primary function will be greeting visiting clients and employees and help them navigate the office space. As part of the Corporate Services team, you will also work closely with the office coordinators and administrators to support local meetings and appointments as required.Occasional after-hours work will be required (2%) to support board meetings or special occasions.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet all visitors, arrange transportation as required, and ensure all visitors follow the sign-in/sign-out process.
- Manage all employee access cards as well as office scheduling app for NPI’s hybrid set-up.
- Receive all incoming telephone calls, listen to all messages, and direct them to the appropriate department or person.
- Direct all incoming mail and deliveries, work with all departments to open, scan, or send by courier any mail as required.
- Assist with booking rooms and help coordinate the use of the meeting room space as well as catering requests.
- Ensure that all meeting rooms, kitchen, and reception areas are all in order and well-kept. Manage office supplies stock, including stationery, coffee, tea and any other office consumables.
- Coordinate employee service requests for any required building maintenance and supervise workers where appropriate.
- Work with IT and HR to assist with employee requests for onboarding.
- Participate and help in all ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- +5 years’ experience in front desk management and clerical duties
- +2 years’ experience in office/facilities administration/management

Pay Range:

Northland Power is an independent power producer founded in 1987, and publicly traded since 1997.
