This position assists customers, potential customers, and staff by directing and handling all types of inquiries via in person or incoming phone calls. This position also directs traffic in the lobby to the appropriate area of the bank building.
Primary Duties:
- Greet customers entering the building, determine needs, and notify appropriate bank personnel of customers’ needs and route customers to the appropriate area or department.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Assist with Safe Deposit box customers.
- Prepare and maintain all of the daily required fresh supply of coffee and cookies (where applicable). Preparation and maintaining includes washing and sanitizing of coffee pots, cookie pans, serving trays and utensils, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and supplies in the lobby and waiting area.
- Accept deliveries in accordance with bank policy and ensures they are routed properly.
- Supply rate sheets for customer service area.
- Perform a variety of general support duties such as typing, filing, collating, envelope stuffing, etc.
- Order branch supplies.
- Provide Notary services. (if applicable)
- Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
- Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
- Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
- Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
- Prompt and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain composure under the pressure of multiple incoming telephone calls combined with walk-in traffic.
