Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy and quality
- Record shipment data as required for record keeping
- Ensure all required and necessary safety precautions and policies are strictly adhered to
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from vehicles
- Truck driving, as required: pickups and deliveries to post office, local suppliers and customers
- Perform chauffeuring duties for the factory, as needed
- Material handling with the factory
- Ability to perform physical activities including: walking, lifting, climbing, sitting, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and bending within a manufacturing environment with varying conditions: temperature, dust, noise, oil/grease.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license, DOT certified a plus
- Must have the ability to obtain a DOT license
- Excellent communications skills at all levels of the organization
- Skilled in the safe and proper use of dollies, forklifts and other power equipment for moving materials throughout the facility
- Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
