Position: Receiving Associate
Shift: 1st shift
Location: Fort Worth, TX
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc
- Receives incoming product against appropriate purchase orders, completing paperwork as required
- You will be required to unload trucks and palletize products
- Organizes incoming inventory deliveries for proper storage and placement
- Efficiently stocks shelves with newly packed items from the packaging department
- Consolidates primary and overstock locations to effectively utilize the cubic space of the distribution center
- Evaluate and determines status of product returns from customers
- Responsible for placing incoming items into inventory; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments
- Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner; Stives to increase productivity
- Occasionally picks customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is packed and meets standards
- Helps maintain area cleanliness and organization
- Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the distribution center
- May conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required
- Perform all other tasks as required when assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and stay on task to complete given assignments
- 2+ years forklift experience (Rach Forklift/ Sit Down Forklift)
- 2+ years of working in a Receiving Department and solid grasp on inventory management
- Must be able to life up to 50lbs. repeatedly, 60bs occasionally
- Must be able to work standing/walking for the majority of the work day
- Strong math skills and analytical skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
- Willing to work overtime when necessary
- Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects
- Ability to perform basic functions on a computer
- Must be able to get along well with a variety of different people and work as part of a team
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to communicate professionally at various organizational levels
- Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce
- Must be comfortable working with or around material handling equipment
