Position Summary:
The Receiving Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately managing all inbound shipments at the receiving dock. This includes unloading and logging incoming inventory, verifying product accuracy, and updating systems to reflect incoming goods. The Receiving Associate plays a key role in ensuring accurate inventory levels and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and load trucks promptly and safely at the receiving dock.
- Log all inbound shipments, including customer returns and RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations).
- Verify incoming product using reference tools and the company’s customer-facing website to ensure accuracy.
- Receive and process purchase orders in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using desktop and handheld devices, with a 24-hour turnaround target.
- Perform inventory put away and consolidation of received or returned items to appropriate locations.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and standards.
- Participate in regular warehouse housekeeping duties, including sweeping and general organization.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
- Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Reliable, punctual and team-oriented with good communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and handheld scanning devices; experience with NetSuite and Excel is a plus.
Job Type: Full-Time
Expected Hours: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Pay: $18.00 per hour
