The position: The Fund Accountant will support day‑to‑day accounting and reporting for real estate funds and SPVs, including NAV preparation, financial statement support, and investor reporting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day accounting and bookkeeping for real estate funds and SPVs, including recording journal entries and maintaining accurate ledgers.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly NAV packs, supporting schedules, and reconciliations (bank, loans, AP/AR, intercompany).
- Assist with valuation updates, transaction accounting (acquisitions, disposals, financing), and period end close activities.
- Prepare investor capital statements, waterfall workings, and periodic investor reporting.
- Support audit requests, financial reporting deliverables, and overall WTC (work-to-complete) requirements to meet client deadlines.
- Ensure all accounting records, documentation, and processes are maintained accurately and in compliance with internal controls.
- Monitor cash positions, prepare cash reconciliations, and track fund expenses.
- Maintain documentation for fund activities, supporting schedules, and workpapers in an organized manner.
- Assist in preparing ad hoc reports and responding to client queries as needed
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com/M.Com/BBA/MBA/ICWAI/PGDBM/CA/Inter CA).
- CPA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 3-6yrs experience of experience in fund accounting, preferably within Real Estate Funds, SPVs, or alternative investment structures.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
- Good understanding of real estate fund operations, property manager statements, valuation reports, and company, partnership, and trust accounting.
- Experience with fund accounting platforms such as Investran, Yardi, NavOne, or similar systems is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and process management skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and committed to meeting client deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; accepted qualifications include B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA, ICWAI, PGDBM, CA, or Inter CA.
- 3–6 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with real estate funds, SPVs, or alternative investment structures.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards, including IFRS or UK GAAP.
- Understanding of real estate fund operations, property manager statements, valuation reports, and company, partnership, and trust accounting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and process management skills with high attention to detail.
