As a Reading Specialist at Green Tree School & Services, you will help students develop foundational literacy skills that support lifelong learning. You’ll deliver targeted reading instruction, assess student progress, and collaborate with teachers to build literacy-rich classrooms where every student can grow as a reader and communicator.

What You’ll Need

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field

  • Pennsylvania certification as a Reading Specialist (Instructional I or II required)

  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in special education

  • Knowledge of literacy intervention strategies and individualized reading instruction

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills

  • Assess student literacy levels and identify instructional needs through screening and diagnostics

  • Provide individualized and small-group reading instruction to support IEP goals
