Just Salad is looking for an experienced and motivated React Native Engineer to join our engineering team. Our engineers work on Just Salad’s core digital ordering platform, in which customers can place, schedule, and customize orders. The digital app and web are key touchpoints to connect with our customers and will showcase innovative and creative solutions as we continue building them a deeply personalized experience. Our engineering team aims to create a digital journey that helps our users fall in love with Just Salad.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and deploying high-quality mobile applications across web, iOS, and Android platforms. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in end-to-end testing and a passion for creating maintainable, reliable digital products.
Reports to: Product Director: E-Commerce
This position is on-site in NYC: hybrid schedule with 4 days in our NYC office
Responsibilities:
- Mobile and Web Development: Develop, test, and deploy React Native applications across web, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain end-to-end testing frameworks to ensure app reliability over the long term.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and other engineering teams, to deliver seamless and high-quality user experiences.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, stay current with industry best practices, and contribute to our commitment to technical excellence.
Qualifications:
You have:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience deploying production-grade React Native apps across web, iOS, and Android.
- Testing Expertise: Strong experience in implementing maintainable end-to-end testing to support app reliability.
Nice to have:
- Passion: A personal interest in food and/or sustainability.
- Curiosity: Demonstrated passion for learning and problem-solving, with examples of how your curiosity led you into software engineering and tackling complex challenges.
- Project management: Experience setting timelines or working with clients, product managers, or other stakeholders to communicate progress
- Prior experience building customer-facing and/or ecommerce applications

Benefits:
- $175,000 - $195,000/ annual salary plus eligibility for corporate bonus. Actual salary dependent on experience
