The Role
We’re seeking a UI Developer to design and build high-quality, accessible web interfaces for Life Launch — an interactive fiction platform that helps students with disabilities practice real-world decision-making through story-based experiences.
You’ll collaborate closely with UX designers, educators, and backend developers to create scalable, engaging web applications. This role combines technical skill with thoughtful user experience design.
Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive, browser-agnostic web interfaces using React.js
- Integrate with RESTful web services
- Collaborate on UX design and accessibility improvements
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to front-end best practices
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
- 5+ years of React.js experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of UX and accessibility principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
- Experience deploying and maintaining Node.js services
- Familiarity with data visualization or charting libraries
- Experience building mobile-responsive applications
