Job Responsibilities:
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for analyzing Generative AI trends, standards, and opportunities for application in automotive products. Key objectives include conducting/documenting research on artificial intelligence development, AI deployment outlook, and assessment of impact to vehicle design / user interface systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Compile overview of Generative AI theory and practice.
o Develop tutorial on AI terminology and system design.
o Summarize history and current state.• Assess Generative AI trends and define automotive opportunites.
o Outline consumer application trends and design best practices.
o Benchmark current automotive applications.
o Develop alternatives to consider - revenue generating opportunities for Automotive.• Assess impact to vehicle design.
o Consider the role of Generative AI in the product development process.
o Dimension process cost savings opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:• Completion of coursework in Engineering at the undergraduate level• Must be fluent in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint• Basic knowledge of automobile and automotive engineering is a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE• Major focused on Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science required.• Currently attending university (Junior or above level preferred) or undergraduate degree complete• Exposure to AI related coursework is a plus.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:• Proficient Computer knowledge and skill, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).• Strong research capability.• High interest artificial intelligence topics and the automotive industry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
