Cortica is looking for an RCM Data Systems Engineer to join our growing multi-disciplinary team!
The RCM Data Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our revenue cycle management (RCM) and billing systems. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish a seamless integration of billing and RCM systems with other enterprise applications.

What Will You Do?
- Data Engineering: Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines that support our billing and RCM systems. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability across all systems.
- Software Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java, Python, and Mulesoft (Dataweave) to integrate and manage data flows between various systems and applications.
- System Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate the billing and RCM systems with other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data exchange and process automation.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for optimization within the billing process.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, system architecture, and API specifications.
- Maintenance and Ongoing Responsibilities: Maintain reporting and analytics supporting RCM. Update and manage debug code for developed systems.
- Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across IT, finance, and operations to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that enhance our billing and RCM processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You bring 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field, with a focus on billing systems or revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline or proof of technical certifications in Mulesoft, Python or Java, and SQL.
- You have demonstrated an in-depth understanding of medical billing processes, coding standards, and regulatory requirements.

The base pay range for this opening is $94,577.78 - $118,222.22. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
