As an Associate in the Rates and FX Sales team, you will support day-to-day client coverage and execution across a broad range of institutional clients. You will work closely with internal partners to respond to client needs, deliver timely market updates and help drive a high-quality trade execution process. You will grow your product knowledge while strengthening your ability to prioritize, communicate clearly and perform under pressure.
Job responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day coverage and support for rates and foreign exchange products across a broad set of client types
- Respond to client requests for market color, updates, and product information in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with execution of client orders while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and controls
- Support the end-to-end trade execution process, including trade booking and post-trade coordination
- Support new issue processes, including order collection and related coordination
- Partner closely with trading, research, and other internal stakeholders to deliver coordinated client coverage
- Monitor key market drivers and communicate relevant developments clearly to clients and internal partners
- Maintain high standards of organization, documentation, and follow-through across daily workflows
- Contribute to process discipline and quality control to support a reliable client experience
- Build cross-product knowledge and continuously develop product fluency and market awareness
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in markets at a bank, securities firm, or non-bank financial institution (e.g., asset management)
- Fluency in Japanese and English (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure with appropriate urgency and sound judgment
- Strong analytical skills and logical thinking, with the ability to communicate concepts clearly
- Strong attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to process and quality control
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and self-manage competing priorities
- Effective communication skills to engage internal partners and clients professionally
- Team-oriented approach with a consistent focus on collaboration
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
