The Position
As Rare Disease Medical Advisor, you will play a critical role in advancing our scientific communication strategy and disseminating key insights to relevant stakeholders, building new relationships and transform the way medical professionals talk about and treat Rare Diseases.
You will be our therapeutic area & pipeline expert and a leading partner in the generation, interpretation, and communication of medical and scientific data among internal and external stakeholders (KOLs, HCPs and other influencers).
Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Spanish affiliate is equipped and trained to deliver the best possible scientific interactions with the external scientific community.
As part of your key responsibilities:

  • Establishing and executing a comprehensive scientific communication strategy aligned with Regional/Global strategic imperatives and principles.
  • Driving effective communication plans across all phases of clinical trials, ensuring clear and impactful messaging.
  • Defining and executing a robust publication strategy, disseminating scientific findings and insights to the medical community.
  • Providing comprehensive medical education and training to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to equip them with the latest knowledge in cardiovascular diseases.
  • Cultivating strategic relationships with National Professional Associations (NPAs) to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.


You will seek opportunities to gain a deep understanding of the market and patient pathways within rare diseases, supporting internal medical and commercial business decisions and driving scientific development in the field.
Qualifications
You are either a Medical Doctor or hold a bachelor's degree within Life Sciences. You have solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry gained from a Medical Advisor role or extensive practical experience as Medical Doctor.
On top of what we would expect:

  • Strong knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: Rare Endocrine Disorders (For example: growth hormone deficiency (GHD)), Rare Blood Disorders (Hemoglobinopathies) and, Primary Hyperoxaluria.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical/health data and scientific communication strategies with experience in publication strategy and planning, including Real-World Evidence (RWE) publications
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Familiarity with National Professional Associations (NPAs).


You have a deep understanding of the specificities and nuances of the Spanish healthcare infrastructure, complemented by fluency in both Spanish and English.

We work closely with healthcare professionals, patients, and key opinion leaders to drive scientific communication, education, and research in this field.
