Job DescriptionThe Department of Diagnostic Imaging, Division of Radiology of is seeking an Associate.
The job position requires coverage for the core imaging modalities of a busy community practice, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography, and fluoroscopic-guided procedures. Expertise in these areas is required. Ability to perform body interventional procedures and venous lines, and/or expertise in cardiac imaging including CT and MRI would be an asset. Additional coverage for Nuclear Medicine and Mammography is optional and can be tailored to an individual's core competencies and interests. On-site rotations will primarily be at Brampton Civic Hospital, responsibilities include reporting inpatient and outpatient studies and providing weekend, evening and late-night call shift coverage for all the Osler sites. Day to day variety in shifts allows for diverse practice, with a mixture of on-site work and at-home reporting. Excellent communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in additional languages is an asset due to the diverse population we serve. Renumeration is determined by the William Osler Radiology Association (WORA) Practice Plan which is compromised of the on-site Brampton Radiologist.
About the Program
The Diagnostic Imaging department is a busy but challenging rewarding practice. It offers an ideal opportunity to work within a supportive collaborative environment. Volumes are very high, and well thought out processes and practises, strong teamwork and updated technology, make for an ideal radiology practice.
Candidates must hold a valid Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and be certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with completion of an additional Fellowship year.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Ultrasound
- General Radiography
- Fluoroscopic-guided procedures
Experience performing body interventional procedures and the insertion of venous lines is considered an asset. Additional expertise in cardiac imaging, including both CT and MRI, is also desirable.
The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset, as we serve a highly diverse patient population.
