About the Role 

 

Lake Imaging is seeking a full-time Radiographer (Medical Imaging Technologist) to join our technical team in Ballarat. This is an excellent opportunity to work across both private hospital and clinic settings, providing high-quality care to the local community while building experience across a broad range of advanced imaging modalities. 

This role offers a mix of hospital- and clinic-based practice across multiple sites, with a strong focus on delivering an outstanding patient experience. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology, broaden your clinical capability across diverse modalities, and learn from our close collaboration with experienced radiologists and specialist providers. 

X-ray & OPG 
Fluoroscopy 
CT & Cardiac CT 
MRI 
Mammography 
Bone Densitometry 
Interventional Radiology 
Angiography suite 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with Lake Imaging protocols and clinical standards. 
  • Work efficiently within a busy multi-site environment, adapting quickly to workflow demands and using RIS/PACS systems effectively. 
  • Maintain strict compliance with radiation safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical colleagues to support imaging procedures, including sterile and interventional techniques where required. 
  • Contribute positively to a large, fast-paced hospital department supported by state-of-the-art equipment and contemporary imaging practices. 
  • Deliver exceptional patient care through clear communication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to teamwork. 

About You 

  • Qualifications in Medical Imaging (Bachelor of Science or equivalent).   
  • Current AHPRA registration is essential. 
  • Experience in CT is beneficial, whilst competence in MRI or Mammography will be viewed favorably. 
  • Experience working with Siemens and Shimadzu equipment will be an advantage. ​​
  • You are a strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and referrers. 
  • You are committed to ongoing learning and actively participate in professional development and continuing education.

Skills Required
