SUMMARY 
Under the direction of the Team Leader, the Rack Roller is responsible for placing processed textile donations in the proper area and categories on the sales floor. Primary duties include maintaining the cleanliness of the sales floor, providing world-class customer service, and promptly restocking product on the sales floor. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES 
 
1.    Rotate merchandise on a timely basis and in accordance with established procedures and bring merchandise to the sales floor in a timely manner.
2.    Place all merchandise in appropriate textile categories in accordance with merchandising policies and procedures. 
3.    Assist in textile color rotation per established procedure.
4.    Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
5.    Direct customers to the proper area and provide general information as requested.
6.    Stay alert and watch for shoplifting; notify store management of suspicious activity.
7.    Keep the sales floor and production area clean and safe.
8.    Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code, including a name badge and vest.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES 
 
1.    Refer all customer complaints to management in a timely manner. 
2.    Answer telephone promptly using established etiquette procedure. 
3.    Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines. 
4.    React calmly and respond to emergency situations. 
5.    Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.  
 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

5.    Knowledge of textile articles related to garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc). 
6.    Ability to react calmly and responsively to emergency situations. 
7.    Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
 
Education and/or Experience: 
High School education or equivalent is preferred. Previous retail experience is highly preferred.  
  
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 
(e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check) 
 
Physical and Environmental Requirements: 
 
1.    Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.  
2.    Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  
3.    Standing and walking for long periods of time.  
4.    Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull. 
5.    Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove garments from containers.  
6.    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
